Now Orissa BSNL decided to give their user a facility to choose their fancy number. For this purpose they conduct an auction. In the auction they put list of fancy numbers and users bid for their needed numbers.

How to get Orissa BSNL Fancy Numbers
A list of fancy numbers are present in the list. You need to do is to-
- First of all, Go to http://sancharsoft.bsnl.co.in/auction/vacant_nos/or/gsm_choice.asp
- Choose a number, which you like, from the list.
- Click on Reserve Number button.
- Enter you current mobile number or any other. (This no is used to send a verification code)
- Enter the Verification code which is sent to your mobile.
- Done! And you will receive a Confirmation on your mobile.
- Now go to your nearest BSNL office and claim your Choice number. Remember to take your mobile with you where you get your confirmation SMS.

@Dipti: They are the ultimate persons who can allot a SIM for you…. You can get your SIM from BSNL head office only…… So go again to your nearest BSNL head office…… If they don’t know any info on this, then contact the higher authorities……

Friends,
First you have to go to the site sancharsoft.bsnl.co.in. From there you will see one button for choice no. and the other button for fancy no.(which will cost you Rs.843/-). One can only reserve one number out of given numbers. Once you reserve the number, you will get a pin number in the mobile no., you have given and also it will displayed on the screen. You have to fill up the form online only and submit the same. Afterthat a form will be generated. You have to take a print out and submit it to the nearst BSNL Office with required documents. The reservation of no. will valid for 48 hours. At present the same method is working or not I dont know, but I have got my fancy no. during fist fortnight of May 2012.
